About Steve Leake.
Steve Leake has been training students full time for the ACT, SAT, and other standardized tests since 1984, which makes him the most experienced test trainer in the world -- literally. (A colleague suggested he apply for recognition by Guiness World Records!) Most test prep courses are heavy on content and materials: the idea is that the more you know and the more stuff you have, the better you'll do.

The more often you take the tests and the more you prepare for each one, the better you will do. Some students begin as early as their sophomore year but most start at the beginning of their junior year. That offers them the opportunity to prepare carefully and take the test multiple times. For best results, begin taking the course about four weeks prior to your upcoming ACT test date. The Video Course is designed to help you prepare for it.

First, you could compress the entire Course into 2 weeks. That would mean watching 2 Videos and taking one and a half ACT practice tests a week: quite doable!
Second, you don't need the entire Video Course to get better on the ACT. The Fundamentals are covered in the 1st Video. If you watch just that Video and take the first practice test, you will be a better test taker! If you review that test in the Second Video, you will be better than that. And if you did one more practice test, Steve knows you will feel quite confident going into the real ACT.

It's amazing what approaching the test correctly and doing some very focused practice (not necessarily a lot) can do!
Actually, they are more similar than they are different. They both test the fundamentals you learn in elementary school, not really high school.
Both tests test grammar, reading, and elementary math. The SAT throws in a few vocabulary questions, and the the ACT throws in a so-called Science section (that tests no science: just your ability to read charts and graphs.)
However, there ARE differences:
Although both tests are very different from tests in school (the content is the same--it’s the way the content is tested that’s different), the ACT is a bit closer to what you actually see in school. Both are curriculum and reasoning tests, but the ACT is a bit more curriculum based, and the SAT a bit more reasoning based.
The SAT can feel harder, because it is trickier. The ACT is harder to finish, because it is more time-pressured.
